Guided Wellness Platform
Cross-platform health & fitness coaching platform. React 19 + Expo/React Native with AI coaching, meal scanning, adaptive workouts, grocery planning, and device integrations — all in one app shell. Freemium + Pro subscription at $19/mo.
Kineo One was a production-grade wellness platform built with React 19 and TypeScript for web, plus React Native via Expo for iOS and Android. It combined AI-powered coaching, adaptive workout programming, meal scanning with macro analysis, grocery planning, and recovery analytics into a unified cross-platform experience.
The app ran a freemium model with Pro at $19/month ($190/year) through RevenueCat. Multi-provider auth (Apple, Google, Email) via Supabase, with Sentry for error tracking and PostHog for analytics. Fully deployed at mykineo.com on Render with EAS builds for iOS TestFlight.
Live exercise sequencing with adaptive rest timers, set tracking, and workout history. Goal-based programming (Lean / Build / Balance) with tailored macro targets and progress logging.
AI coaching engine with adaptive program suggestions. Daily brief with activity rings, metric cards (calories, workout, steps, streak), and trend analysis across weekly, monthly, and quarterly windows.
Camera-based meal scanning with AI-powered food detection, macro adjustment (portion size, carb/protein confidence), weekly meal templates, recipe library, and barcode lookup.
Three shopping modes (quick, pantry, household) with grocery checklists, pantry inventory tracking, quantity management, and household sharing with member assignment.
Full UI customization system with 4 color presets (Aurora, Plasma, Solar, Midnight), configurable motion, glass blur, density, and contrast settings. Save/load/import design profiles.
Connected device ecosystem: Apple Health, WHOOP, Garmin, and Oura Ring for biometric sync — heart rate, HRV, steps, sleep, and recovery metrics feeding into the coaching engine.
Web frontend built with React 19 + TypeScript on Vite 8. Mobile via React Native 0.83 / Expo 55 with React Navigation. Context + hooks state architecture with persistent localStorage. Multi-provider auth (Apple, Google, Email) through Supabase. RevenueCat for subscription management with Stripe fallback.
CSS custom properties for dynamic theming with 4 presets and granular controls (motion, glass blur, density, contrast). Reduce-motion accessibility support. Skeleton loaders, session refresh with 45-minute TTL, and protected route wrappers.
Kineo was the proving ground for the product engineering approach that now drives SimDex and SPUF. Context + hooks state management, CSS custom property theming, multi-provider auth flows, subscription billing integration, and cross-platform deployment pipelines all transferred directly to subsequent projects.
Kineo was a complete product but competing in the wellness space required sustained content production and community building alongside engineering. The decision was made to redirect focus toward SimDex (market tooling) and SPUF (system utilities) where the engineering skills had higher leverage and the product-market dynamics were stronger.
The codebase, architecture patterns, and deployment infrastructure from Kineo continue to inform current work.
